Dr. Duarte is a fellowship-trained otolaryngology-head and neck surgeon who specializes in pediatric otolaryngology. He has a special clinical interest in airway, sinonasal and otologic disorders (diseases of the ear), and collaborates with services to care for patients with aerodigestive and speech problems. Dr. Duarte has presented on different topics in his field and published work in a variety of peer-reviewed medical publications.
After completing his undergraduate studies at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), Dr. Duarte received his medical degree from the Georgetown University Medical School in Washington, D.C. He completed his internship in general surgery and his residency in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at the UCLA Medical Center. He then went on to complete his fellowship in pediatric otolaryngology at Boston Children’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts.
Dr. Duarte is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and is a member of the American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology. He is fluent in Spanish.
