Community Education & OutreachAn important part of being a trauma center is educating the community on injury prevention. We do this through free outreach programs, including:
|
Education for ProvidersOur trauma center team educates healthcare professionals throughout the Central Valley in caring for trauma patients. This includes education for nurses and physicians, and overall education for rural healthcare facilities that might be the first to receive and stabilize injured patients. Plus, our robust trauma research program offers many different areas of study. This research is published in peer-reviewed medical journals and presented at national and international conferences to share results with other trauma practitioners and advance the knowledge of caring for trauma patients. |
We're proud to be a member of the Trauma Survivors Network (TSN), a program of the American Trauma Society. TSN is a community of patients and families looking to connect with one another and rebuild their lives after a life-altering injury. Joining this community can help ease the anxiety and frustration often experienced following a sudden injury and the resulting hospitalization.
